Manual matching is a method of creating a Guider relationship by program administrator, instead of the users themselves.
It can be done by anyone with access to the Admin app. The admin access can be granted by the Support Engineer to any user already registered to the Guider app, on CS request.
Both matched parties need to be registered to the Guider app and the relevant program first.
To manually match users:
Find a user you want to match on Guider Admin
Find the membership in the right program, with the role that the user is supposed to have in the relationship
For mentee users, there will be two buttons: “Suggested Mentor/Buddy/Coach Matches” and “Add Mentor/Buddy/Coach etc.”. For mentors, only the second option “Add Mentee” will be available (suggested matches functionality for the mentors will be added soon).
To manually match users with the help of our matching algorithm:
Select “Suggested Mentor Matches”.
A modal will appear. This provides the Admin with the same list of possible mentors that a mentee would see whenlooking for matches themselves on Guider App.
Select a fitting mentor and click “Create relationship”.
The relationship should be created and visible on the mentees profile.
To manually match users by providing an email address:
Click the “Add Mentor/Mentee…” button.
A modal will appear.Enter the email address of the other party.
Note:
Keep in mind that the input is case sensitive - use lowercase letters only.
If there is no user with that email or the user doesn’t have the required membership, you will receive an error message. If a user under this email exists and has the appropriate membership, the relationship has now been created and should be visible on the users’ profiles.
