To boost user engagement and improve the accuracy of program metrics, the Guider Team will soon implement a feature to automatically conclude inactive mentoring relationships. This feature will identify relationships where users have not been scheduling or logging sessions, ensuring that the platform remains focused on fostering active, meaningful connections.
How It Works
The feature tracks activity within mentoring relationships, like scheduling new sessions or logging completed ones. If no such activity is recorded for 90 days, both participants will receive an automated email notification prompting them to either log or schedule a session to keep the relationship active. The email will also inform users that if no action is taken within the next seven days, the relationship will be automatically concluded. This process requires minimal manual intervention while ensuring active relationships reflect true engagement.
Benefits for Programme Managers and Users
The auto-conclude feature supports an engaged mentoring community by encouraging users to stay active in their relationships. For mentors and mentees, it acts as a helpful nudge to assess the progress of their mentoring journey, ensuring they make the most of their experience. For program administrators, it provides clear and accurate data on active relationships, enabling more reliable reporting, insightful program evaluations, and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
By streamlining relationship management, this feature supports the long-term success of mentoring programs and reinforces Guider’s commitment to delivering value to both users and organizations.
